Australia Pulp Fiction -15 Year Anniversary Briefcase Edition

No idea what is in it as far as specs etc. I've found it at a few online shops such as DVDcrave:

The distributor is Roadshow. Does anyone know much about them - do they have a good track record for high quality Blu-ray releases?

Roadshow is the distributor for Warner/NL and Weinstein in AUS. AFAIK all of their releases have been ports of existing discs from the US or elsewhere. So it is possibly this release could mimic the US version, otherwise it is their own version and I have no idea how they would do.

I wonder if the price will change. Seems a little cheap for a "briefcase edition"

I spotted that too. Ezydvd.com.au has the briefcase for $60 and std for ten cheaper. I don't know if I really want any gimmick editions, though the reservoir dogs box of matches pack was quite fun. I'm just excited that its coming to blu ray. Ionly hope its not a tease, and that its a true story, and an official port of a high quality US version that has as yet to be announced.

First pic up of briefcase edition. http://www.ezydvd.com.au/item.zml/808702

Seems like both STD and Briefcase editions are single-disc, with the main difference being the packaging, which does look cool. Hopefully its user-friendly and doesn't feel breakable, because I always avoid that kind of thing.

And, breaking news, a standard edition will be offered. I found it on ezydvd, but, interestingly, not on blurayentertainment.com.au, which only has the briefcase listed.

I'm wondering WHERE Roadshow have 'sourced' this version from ??

Most of their releases have been from US sources - IMO I don't think that they have the capacity to create their own 'masters' of the films in which they distribute. As Pulp Fiction hasn't been released in either the US or UK - I'm wonder where they got it from ??

Just a side note - but the Roadshow DVD version was a bit 'crap' compared to other releases outside Australia.

Australia is Region B. Pulp Fiction has to be Region Free to play in any player that isn't Region B programmed.
