Default My Samsung LED won't display in 120Hz

I bought a 46" Samsung LED (UN46B6000) a few weeks ago, and I can't get it to display in 120Hz. Whenever I press info it always says 1920x1080 @ 60Hz. The only setting I can find on the TV is Auto Motion Plus 120Hz (Off/Clear/Standard/Smooth) The HDMI cable I have said it supports 120Hz.

Your Samsung will convert everything to 60HZ refresh. The info screen on your TV is telling you what the incoming signal is. Just pick a setting from the auto motion setting and you should be fine. its not going to display 120mhz when u press info but you will notice it when u turn the setting on.

Like he said, that only shows you the info for the incoming signal. If you were playing a vcr through it you would see 480i @ 60 hz. Your tv takes that signal and processes it into 120 hz. AutoMotion has nothing to do with your refresh rate, it is a video processing system to get rid of blur. It works alongside your faster refresh rate to smooth motion by interpolating or making up frames in between frames instead of just doubling them. By turning automotion up higher it does this more drastically giving that 3d effect lots of LCD users like. Your tv will always show 120 hz no matter what settings you pick. Hope this helps

This is incorrect. The display is ALWAYS at 120hz refresh. It's just showing what the incoming signal is. Don't get the hz refresh and motionflow technology confused.
