Smile Came across (what i think) is a really good deal.

I work for Walmart ISD, and i was told today that the associate store ( where over stock and displays end up) had a pallet of used hanging tv monitors that were used in stores. I thought what the hell ill go check them out after work i bet they are all gone. I get there and cand find any, as im about to leave wishing i would have gotten there sooner, i saw them stacked in the corner laying flat on top of each other, thre was about 30 of them. Only card board was separating the screens from the metal backs of the monitors. Alot of them were pretty rough with the screens scratched. Saw a sign that said "42" LCD MONITORS" $250.00, they had a dvd player hooked up and power cord to test them out. i grabbed one that looked to be in good shape, it turned out to be the only one i could find that the screen was not pixelated. So i grabbed it bought it and took it home, hooked it up and it works, looks great and come to find out it was not a LCD, its a 42' Plasma Monitor (LG Plasma Monitor PM1M -UC. There is a small amount of burn in. but when i put a Blu Ray in you cant even see it,

Anyways the only cosmetic thing was its banged up a little bit on the back, screen is in great shape does not have any speakers or a stand.
So i need to find out where you guys think i can get a wallmount or a LG stand for it?

Doesn't Wal-mart sell stands and wall mounts also, has you stated you work for them so you can get one with an employee discount or even find a display one also.

yeah i was going to go look for one this weekend. Im a Networking/IT Tech so dont get to the stores very often lol. just wondering if anyone here knows of a good place to get one. Dont really want to order the ones that are for the actual tv that they use in the stores. they are super expensive.

Excellent Deal for a 42inch LG Plasma. I know my Local BJ's Sales a Universal Wall Mount(That fits 40in to 55in TV's/Up to 210 lbs.) for $49.99 w/o tax.

This is the lowest price I have seen for a complete wall mount(everything included) without being on Clearance,Discontinued,or a Demo Model.

do i need to look for a certain type to match the mount holes on this Monitor? or are they universal as in they will mount up to most monitors?

It's universal. Just measure the vertical and horizontal lengths of the mounting holes in the back and see if it meets spec. I bought two and just hung a 42 and a 50 inch plasma and they work perfect. Just have a stud finder and it will be easy.

http://www.monoprice.com/products/pr...=2#description

Will fit most small to mid-sized flat panel plasma and LCD TVs with mounting patterns up to VESA 750x450.
*Mounting holes on television should be 28" or less apart horizontally & 18.5" or less apart vertically.
Maximum weight capacity: 165lbs/75kg

If the mounting dimension of your television exceed 28" horizontally, please consider using PID# 3004 or 3401.

Yeah went to walmart im not paying 80 bucks for the mounts they have.. I looked at the one you sent me the link for and thats a awesome price with shipping its $35.00. only problem is it says that its not for certain LG monitors. you think if i call them they can verify that it would work with my Monitor?

Thanks sincerely for the info on the mount from MonoPrice.Everything else they sell has been great quality at an even better price.
So i can imagine the TV/Wall mounts will be as good(if not better)then those selling for 2 to 3X's higher.

I also have my 50" Panny plasma on the Premium Tilt-Mount. I love it. It shows absolutely no signs of stress or torque or anything negative. I would highly recommend it.
