Default BDP-S1E ... watching a DVD-RW photo slideshow ... sloooooow ...

For testing, I have put a couple of jpegs on a DVD-RW ... size mostly 3072 x 2304 ...

... now when I run the slideshow (using the slideshow function of the player), it takes the player about 1 sec to display a pic, then it waits for some 5 sec and then the screen goes blank for almost 10 sec (!!!) only then the next pic comes up ... is that normal?

That is a pretty high resolution. I'm not surprised that the load is slow. If you want fast load-up, you might want to reduce the resolution while keeping the original files.

The PS3 is the fastest photo viewer, especially if the files are in the HDD.

thanks, thought so - makes sense - guess I'll resample all of the pics to 720 height so they fit the TV ...
