Thumbs down The Informant: Matt Damon

I saw this movie a couple of days ago at a screening. All I can say is that I HATED this movie soooo much. They had some quips that were really funny (polar bear facts), but overall the movie was really rough to get through. I NEVER walk out of movies, but I came really close.

At the end of the movie screening there was a reporter trying to get quotes and I the only one I wanted to give was "I know this movie was free, but I WANT my money back!"

Anyone else see it? If so, what did you think?

Yeah I went to a screening of it too. I didn't hate it like you did, but I didn't think it was too great. It was just a very strange movie. The best parts were when he was doing the actual tape recordings & the very bizarre ending. The funniest was the little things he would narrate in between scenes. I would give it a C+ probably.

Default This was Soderbergh's take on a serious subject

This was a true story and the guy was really crazy. Not sure why Soderbergh tried to make it into a comedy. I know it was not supposed to be like the Hangover though. The humor was supposed to be dry and deadpan. I guess that's the problem with Soderbergh and his experiments. Sometimes his approach to a subject and vision for a film is not what audiences expect and like. Reviews were mixed some outright hated it and some liked it.

Just saw this movie, and one thing came to myh mind:This is the movies version of muzak Not all bad. Some fun stuff, but it was quite boring, and it had this elevatormusic going through it the whole time.

Would say a movie without much direction

I have to say I loved this movie. It would definitely go in my top 10 of 2009. I thought it was a terrific study of a very disturbed man. I understand people not liking it though as the marketing campaign for it was a complete lie. It was not a comedy outright, it was darkly comedic study of a disturbed man. I loved it.

I loved it as well. But you know me, I'm a sucker for character studies.

Have thought some more about the movie.Remember this silly music playing throughout the movie, but when a dramatic scene was aproaching the music got into some cliche-overdrive mode on the suspense.Wonder why they did that?....Was it to indicate that he might be a child trapped into a man's body,or that he never grew up?

Anyone noticed that?
