Post R.I.P. Henry Gibson (1935-2009)

All right here:
http://moviesblog.mtv.com/2009/09/16...son-1935-2009/

Indeed, there has been too much tragedy this week. First, Patrick Swayze has left us, and now Henry Gibson. Mr. Gibson is another one of my favorite character actors, and his all-time best performances were as Tom Hanks' creepy next-door neighbor in 1989's "The 'Burbs" and as the Head Nazi who goes after Jake and Elwood in 1980's "The Blues Brothers". He was 73 years old. Goodbye, Mr. Gibson. And thanks for the laughs and the memories.

R.I.P. Henry Gibson (1935-2009)

RIP.
Although I didn't have the pleasure of seeing him in more movies while he was alive, I am looking forward to viewing his everlasting talent in the future.

Truly sad.

And once again - as I said before - what is going on with Hollywood this year?

I will never forget his role in The 'burbs.... What a classic.

I also loved some of the smaller roles he was in - Bio Dome and Wedding Crashers comes to mind.... he had such great expressions!

Great actor. R.I.P.

Henry RIP. Another terrible loss this year; what is going on here? I remember him in so many roles and most enjoyed him in Laugh In.

My favorite role of his: as the Father in "Wedding Crashers."

This guy was one of the great character actors, the kind where most people recognized his face but few could recall his name or imediatley remember what else they saw him in (guys like this is why IMDB was created)

he'll be missed, scared the hell out of me when I was a kid and watch the burbs

I don't think I'll miss him, and I don't think it's tragic, but it's a bummer when anyone passes.

More bad news when I get to work. He had many appearances in TV shows in the 80s and 90s, highly recognizable. 3 movies I remember him in are the Burbs, Bio-dome and Innerspace.

Rest in peace...
