(I edited this post since I initially listed 2 Bonds that haven't been released even in the US!! Sorry)
As an avid Bond fan I was very happy about the first 9 classic Bond Movies being released. Sadly the other 2 original Bond movies that have been released in the US, namely: Licence to Kill and Man with the Golden Gun, are not available in Europe yet. Also the "Fake" Bond "Never say never again" is also not available here. Further more there are of course plenty of titles still missing.. Does anyone know what's keeping MGM/Fox from releasing them? Atleast one onlineshop in Finland (verkkokauppa.com) seems to have both The Man With The Golden Gun and License To Kill as separate releases.
I didn't care for Dalton back in the 007 days but now I was thinking of getting atleast one 007 of all the different actors, so is License To Kill the best Dalton 007 film? Now I have Goldfinger (Connery) and For Your Eyes Only (Moore). |

You should re-visit the Dalton movies (esp TLD), many people are looking back at him now with more appreciation than they did in the late 80s. Especially after seeing the weak Brosnan movies, Dalton makes a very strong 007. |

well Fox distributes the titles so even though MGM is in trouble it could be a Fox issue.
who knows. I keep wondering if Fox will continue to be able to distribute the already released titles after the MGM asset sale or will they all go OOP immediately. we all know that the Bonds are done being encoded etc. etc so is Fox waiting for the next film to release the rest or does MGM decide? I don't think anybody knows. It's a mess is what it is. Last edited by Arkadin; 01-02-2010 at 09:05 PM. |
