what movies are you going to other countries to buy that haven't (or won't anytime soon) be released in your own?
me... waiting for: hostage the island independence day mr. and mrs. smith wanting to buy: exorcism of emily rose forgive me if im full of ignorant questions...but there's no transfer quality difference per different region releases is there? there's a master/standard right??? and do different releases contain different extra features? or is that too all the same? |

redux, afaik, countries don't restrict title releases. it is the studios.
in theory, there could be a quality difference. the only reason i say this is that some areas need to have multiple audio tracks. by having to include these, the studios may have to recompress the video to fit the additional data. remember, this is only theory. in practice, i would believe that there would be no difference in video. however, i am not a compressionist or anything of that nature so all i can say is that theoretically it could be different. |
