Any news on why season five wasn't released on Blu?

I have been looking for it everywhere.

According to my friend Gord Lacey over at www.tvshowsondvd.com the Season 5 Release of Grey's has been delayed. I sent him an email about this. I was looking for it too before the September 15th release date to clarify why the Blu Ray release was taken off schedule. Maybe it will be released in 2010.

Hey, every single DVD or Blu Ray release in Germany also has an original audio line. That means, that the Grey's Anatomy release also comes in English.

I tweeted the creator of the show, Shonda Rhimes, and she responded that she's unsure of the reason and she'll check on it. But I didn't get anythign else I REALLY want season 5 since it's my favorite season next to season 2

I don't really like season 6 so my collection of GA will probably be seasons 1-4 indefinitely, at least until 5 hits blu-ray.

It is available in Mexico, it have the cover in spanish but the discs are labeled in english with all the menus in english, probably (as always) the same discs that will be released eventually in USA.

I'd prefer the first three seasons. I had Season 4, but knew I'd never watch it because the show to me started to go downhill. I haven't watched it in over a month because I gave up on it.

I'm gonna eventually watch it. I saw the previews for it and heard about it being good. Hopefully they can keep that up. I feel like there's too many people in the show now with the two hospitals merging.

There's also too much drama within the characters and not enough of the hospital itself. I'm not really sure what it is, but it just seems different than the earlier seasons. Not to mention I hate Owen. I've been hoping that he'd die already or at least leave the show in some other way.

No I didn't get anything back from her. It really sucks. She's on break right now, so she doesn't tweet too much, but when she does, I will definitely ask her about both season 5 and season 6.

Also, I think season 6 had some fantastic writing in it - but given the many personal complications going on in the show (Ellen Pompeo being pregnant, Katherine Heigl on maternity leave, Katherine Heigl leaving the show), season 6 definitely suffered in the middle, but definitely picked up at the end.

I think the season final was fantastic. The writing/production/acting was incredible (and this seems to be anonymous amongst fans and critics).

Anonymous? I think you mean unanimous. Honestly I liked the show until a lot of the main cast left and once they merged Seattle Grace with Mercy West, it all went to crap.

Even though they're not on the same day but I had a lot of catching up to do through BD's and recordings... Dexter, Weeds, Nurse Jackie, True Blood, Modern Family, etc. Shows to me that were more promising and well balanced.

I just couldn't keep up with Grey's Anatomy anymore because there were so many other shows I'd rather watch. I fell behind on the recordings and ended up deleting one accidentally and had no desire to go back and watch them. I stopped watching a week or two before Alex's brother was on the show.

There's just too many people on the show now that hospitals merged. Not that I couldn't keep up or understand what was going on, I just think it's too much. Most shows have the immediate cast and then the supporting roles, but there were way too many of the supporting cast. Plus Izzie, George and Burke are gone. I think with Burke leaving made the show turn to sh-t honestly but I kept watching. And that's nothing against people who still like it, it's not for me anymore.
