Hope the PQ is better than the DNR-ed release by BVHE.

What other cut are you referring to? The only cut of the movie is 107 mins and that is all that is listed on the back of the box.

Does anyone have any information on this release? Anyone?

It sounds from the description like it should include the DNR-less transfer in 1.85:1, and a better Dolby TrueHD audio presentation (potentially better than the US LPCM and the German DTS-HD-HR).

But I can't find anything to confirm specs on this and it's pretty expensive. But this is one of my all time favorites, and I can't stand the DNR on the US release.

If anyone knows more information on this release that would be really helpful.

Does no one at Blu-ray.com own this release?

I just want to know if this has DNR on the video or not...

If anyone had an answer to GenPion's question, I'm wondering the same thing.

In 2016 they released a cheap version, or something to that effect. Seems to be the exact same disc but it's only 2500 yen.

Also very interested in this but more if it's even better than DE disc that beats US by miles with better DNR less transfer.

Frustrating that nobody seems to know the answer.

^ If you really want to know the answer, why don't you spend your money to find out, and then inform everyone else

I'd be interested in this too if its a much better transfer. Or should I just go for the German one (could be cheaper)?
Does Japan use slim BD cases like the US?

I went to do it today and now it says "Ships in 1 to 2 months", so I think I'm going to pass.
