Default TV Shows NOT in Blu?

Castle, season 1 on tuesday, and Life, seasons 1 and 2...all out on dvd but not blu-ray? The shows were broadcast in HD...were the ratings not high enough?

I love both these shows and would enjoy having them in my Blu collection.

Has anyone heard any news/rumors that they'll eventually be released?

(Californication is another one I'm wishing for)

Only saw the first few episodes of Castle. I would buy it on Blu if they put it out.

In some cases, I'm sure the studios are planning to double dip sometime down the road.

Neither are big enough hits to justify a blu release. Life lasted, what, barely 2 seasons? I'm sure NBC doesn't think it cost effective to release it on blu when nobody watched it for free when it aired. Dunno about Castle. Is it still on?

I Loved life. I was really hoping for a blu release. I didn't even know it got canceled.

Castle Season 2 starts tomorrow night!

I really wish Season 1 was getting a Blu-ray release. With those hopes in mind, I plan to hold out for one.

At least when they killed the show they wrapped the storyline up. I loved the ending in the SUV's!

I still don't understand the reasoning to not include Californication or House in Blu. That logic makes no sense to me.

Californication- Both the show and the Actor David Duchovny was nominated for Golden Globe awards which David won for in Season 1. Season 2 was a hit as well having 937,000 viewers for the finale. Despite the fact that it's televised in HD...the show was the leader over Showtimes show Dexter as well. Yet Dexter is out in Blu....can anyone explain this? Don't get me wrong...I love Dexter too...all I'm saying is that Californication should be in Blu..it's a "No Brainer".

And House....well...Need I say more? And if you don't know-please refer to this info I pulled from Wiki:
Quote:
House is critically acclaimed and has high viewership ratings. It was among the top ten rated shows in the United States from its second through its fourth season; in the 2008–09 season, it fell to nineteenth overall. Distributed to 66 countries, House was the most watched television program in the world in 2008. The show has received several awards, including a Peabody Award, two Golden Globe Awards, and three Primetime Emmy Awards.

I'd buy every season of Buffy and Angel, and if they really worked the video/audio quality and remastered effects I'd pay up to Star Trek level prices for each season or the set. I'd also buy Alias on BD, mostly for the first two seasons. I really want Supernatural seasons 1 and 2 on BD, I have 3 and 4. I won't buy DVDs anymore, if it isn't worth putting on BD then I don't need to own it.

Chuck is one of the best shows on television right now, it's not a procedural and thus not a hit like House, Castle, CSI, etc. I don't know how it does in ratings compared to cable shows like Psych and Monk.

Jericho deserves a Blu release. Such a great show.

I'll agree with that. I never saw that on television but I caught it on NetFlix. Great show, was worried it'd leave me high and dry but they wrapped things up great in Season 2. Not entirely, but as far as the town of Jericho goes. A TV movie (ala Razor) woulda been nice to finish it all out but you take what you can get.

It is the time for the Bold and Beautiful to be released. It didn't have a release on DVD.
