Kaminey DVD release 9/29?? - Blu-ray Forum

I may be late to the party but is this true? Does the movie release on DVD next week? At least that's what Netflix says and it let me add the DVD to queue. So does the Blu-Ray release on the same day or is that still an unknown?

i signed in,

9/29 date is for dvd only, not bluray.

I understand its on DVD only. But I was surprised since this movie is still playing in theatres in India so such an early release on DVD??

@Bollywood Blu-Ray - Do you have a date for the BD release? I thought they usually try to coincide all format release on the home-video market on the same day...

EDIT: When I go back to Netflix, the DVD release date has changed to "Unknown" ! False alarm I guess

not in india, for reasons unknown, they release vcds way before the dvd.

i still havent been able to make sense of this move.

The DVD is out, and if you are a Netflix member you can watch it instantly from Netflix as UTV, and Netflix have a good agreement in place for UTV movies.

I might download the movie from netflix via my Blu-Ray player, and watch it.

I watched the Netflix streaming version of Kaminey last night and was very impressed with the quality of Netflix's streaming program! Never used it before and can see myself using it more in the future, while I wait for BD releases

Also, for those of you have'nt seen this movie and are waiting for the BD release, you may want to level set your expectations on the PQ. The film has a gritty and dark look thanks to all the handheld cameras and sparse lighting...

... If you expect to experience a big WOW factor, like you would watching a "Sivaji" or "Saawariya" on BD, then that may not be found here

Thanks for the Netflix info.. Other forums have also said the DVD by UTV looks dark that is the scenes..

I tried the Netflix Kaminey streaming. The video quality is amazing.. The only draw back with netflix is the lack of 5.1 audio thus one only gets stereo audio. (Going to watch the movie in full shortly).
