Im a huge fan of the show dexter and was interested in buying the first 3 seasons on bluray. I was wondering how the picture/sound quality is? Even though the show is so good i will prob buy them either way.

I have all three seasons and must say that you won't be disappointed with the video or audio quality on any of these seasons... definitely worth getting.

I've got them all and the picture is really good. It's no Lost but it's among the best TV show picture I've seen on Blu-ray. I watched all the episodes on my 3.0 bedroom system so I can't really comment on the audio but they do have Dolby TrueHD so the sound should be pretty good.

Amazon has the 3 Season pack for $97.49 (the seasons purchased individually would cost $112.47). Don't forget Season 4 starts on Sunday night on Showtime.

Currently watching season 2 that I got in SF.

Like everyone said, they're great transfers, although you can sometimes feel the limitation of TV production quality.

Still, I bought them without an ounce of hesitation. Try to guess why.

My cable company is finally getting Showtime HD but not until next Tuesday. Luckily Showtime is constantly replaying their shows so I'll be able to watch it Tuesday in HD.

Yeah it'll be on allot lol, + they usually show the first episode with the second, so you could re-watch it come the second week.

PQ/AQ are by far the best of any show I have on blu-ray maybe BoB/Sopranos are right on par with it, but since season 1 came out b4 season 2 was on blu-ray, I had to get the second on dvd, and let me tell you its like watching a dvd from 1997 to its fully restored blu-ray counter-part, NIGHT and DAY difference. These are must buys on blu-ray if you love the show.

I love Dexter on blu-ray and can't wait for season 4. Ep 1 of season 4 was amazing and ended on a breathtaking cliffhanger can't wait for ep 2.

Well if your cable company is like comcast here you should get to see it OnDemand if you get that.

A lot of people say that the HD replays usually look better than the first Sunday night showing (less compression), if that makes you feel any better. LOL

I guess my small joke didn't work (ie my avatar and quote).

Even though Julie Benz can look smoking hot in this show.

I think the transfers are great with the exception of the random nighttime scene which looks very grainy...

Oh god Deb makes me gag. No hips, no tits, pinched face that looks like a teenage boys'. The only hot woman on that show is Julie Benz.

Anyway..... back to the Blu-Ray. It's definitely a must-own. The only TV show I have with better picture is Lost, and that could almost be because the setting for Lost (Hawaii) is so lush compared to Miami.

not to mention she is constantly whining like a schoolgirl, and not in a hot way.

Dexter is one of those shows that was meant to be on blu-ray. it's soo colorful at times but then really shows the blacks at dark points. and not to mention it just so happens to be a great show as is. Dexter is definetly worht the buy.
