Sony Pictures Labyrinth (1986) / The Dark Crystal (1982)

All the focus seems to be with the varoius WOZ releases and the Gremilns Target exclusive. Anybody here gonna pick up these Jim Henson classics? I personally hope that Sony has a code for them for Sony Rewards Club Members (I have a lot of points accumulated up that I want to use!)

I have had these pre-ordered since...May. I am looking forward to getting them this week! I think Amazon is getting ready to ship them today.

I'm planning on picking them both up. Haven't seen either since 1980-something. Can't wait.

Nice to see that there are other interested in these, Labyrinth was a favorite of mine from the 80's, I also have the DVD. The Dark Crystal did'nt appeal to me as a youngster back then but I watched part of it on cable a few months ago and liked what I saw! So I'm definatley gettin' BOTH of these! Might have to get Mirrormask eventually.

Mirrormask looks amazing on BD. Creepy, strange film, but worth having.
I was immediately drawn to The Dark Crystal as a child. Couldn't get enough of it.

I saw Labyrinth a couple years ago at a panel screening with Brian Henson. Brought a friend who never saw it. She was amazed and thought it was super weird in a good way.

I remember Brian Henson (as a very young kid) in those "Baker" Sesame Street segments, he was the one who would have the piggy bank and say "one penny!" etc. His father directed those and was the voice of the clumsy baker who fell down the stairs with cakes, pies, root beer floats, etc.at the end. anybody remember those?

I barely remember anything about The Dark Crystal except that it seemed extremely dark, which probably didn't appeal to me as a kid but i'm all about that kind of thing now.

I don't know what Mirrormask is. I've seen it on store shelves but am absolutely clueless about it. Is it a Henson film?

I don't remember those, but not surprised. I know Brian worked on The Storytellers, he worked the dog puppet. Have you ever seen the film Jack and The Beanstalk: The Real Story, that Brian Henson directed? It's pretty good.

Just go to youtube and search for Sesame Street Baker, most of them are there., Also some including the very rare Baker #1 are on http://www.sesamestreet.org and enjoy some rare and classic Jim and Brian Henson. They are in the video section called "classic clips"

Mirrormask is a Neil Gaiman story, directed by Dave McKean and is a Jin Henson Production. It has lot's of CGI.

My friend Billy was the giant. You may know him better as the current performer of Rolf, Swedish Chef, Dr. Teeth, and his own creations like Pepe the prawn
