United Kingdom Licence To Kill Blu-ray Region B?

Has anyone heard anything about a UK release, or any more Bonds set to come out in the UK?

Seems weird that they would release them in a steady stream last year, only to halt completely.

Ta folks.

License To Kill and The Man With The Golden Gun was released in Norway this summer (in an unofficial volume 4 box together with Quantum Of Solace). The same set was released in the US as a Best Buy exclusive.

Sadly no news of any more titles being released...

Hey demoni, thanks for the reply.

I'll check out the Norway box set, doesn't look like this is getting a UK release any time soon...

You're welcome.

I believe the UK and Scandinavian releases are the same (with English subtitles for example). But please note that the UK have these thicker plastic cases (as I'm sure you're aware of). So if you have all the other titles in the "UK editions", the Norwegian ones may not fit in the collection (slim cases like the US Blu-ray's).

Don't know how important this is for you, but now you know.

thanks man - that's good to know.

Unfortunately, mine are all UK cases, so this wouldn't match.

But, I'm getting to the stage now where I just want to buy the movie - and I don't care where I get it - and hey - who really takes the time to stare at their cases anyhow, haha.

Will research Norwegian online shops now, cheers!

Good point! I have a lot of UK discs, and the thicker cases doesn't bother me at all.

Here's the box from CDON:

Costs about £49.

thanks again!

Sorry to bombard you with questions, but on the inside cases, are the titles in English as they are on the outside box, or is it in Norwegian?

If in Norwegian that's fine too, though I might have to brush up on my language skills

All the titles are in English, but the text on the back are in Norwegian. The synopsis and information about the extras.

I was a bit worried about the titles when I bought these actually, because it would have looked lame on the shelves with Norwegian titles.

An example of a really(!!!!) bad Norwegian title is for the You Only Live Twice movie. It's called James Bond i Japan. I guess you get that one without translation, but it means James Bond In Japan.

Awful title!

no way!

Haha, that's classic - inspired.

Thanks for the title info - I think this could be the box set I get

Can't imagine why they wouldn't get this out in the UK.

I mean, I literally scratch my head wondering what they are up to with their release schedules...

hehe, it's a pretty lame title...

And I wonder why the UK and Scandinavia isn't getting Never Say Never Again. I've been holding off buying this from the US since I wan't a Norwegian release, but things doesn't look to good...

Hope you'll be pleased with the Norwegian box-set if you buy it. The Man With The Golden Gun is one of my Bond favorites.

love TMWTGG - and Licence To Kill is one of my favourites too. Ultimate Bond fave (although apparently I'm in the minority ) is The Living Daylights.

I'm having trouble - mainly because I think that CDON.com is asking for a "Personnummer" - not sure what that is - and if they ship to the UK. I've tried Google Translate but no luck so far.

I will prevail!

Personnummer is your Social Security number (I think you call this National Insurance number in the UK).

And I see now that CDON only ship to Norway... Sorry.

The blu ray's for Licence to Kill and The Man With The Golden Gun have already been submitted to the BBFC as far back as January 09 for certification but Fox/MGM have not released them in the UK.

They are waiting but there is a hold up.

Considering some rubbish that gets a blu ray release, I can't these titles are being held up

Seems to be a hold up with more Bond in the US too, I would have thought another batch of releases would have been announced before Christmas.

Not too worried about the delay in the UK as I still haven't got Goldfinger, Moonraker and TWINE.

Hopefully they'll be available in offers after Christmas.
