I caught this on cable last night. I'd like to get it on Blu. Universal released the DVD, so perhaps this is something Shout Factory could license.

That's a HD preservation of the film that was put together by film fans online. It is not intended to be sold and is not being sold by anyone that worked on the project. If you look around online hard enough you may still be able to find a copy for free. In other words... no it's not official and no it's not licensed from the studios.

As for the release itself, it looks fantastic.

I believe it. I think the DVD looks very good and told myself a while back that an HD version would probably look phenomenal. As to why there's no real, i.e., pressed BD of this title is beyond me.

For today only, a digital HD copy is $4.99 at iTunes and FandangoNow. Both are Movies Anywhere compatible.
