In term of fight scene, on Jaa's level, Ong Bak 2 wasn't his best. Stylish fights, yes, but not best. His two previous movies had better fight scenes. IMHO
As for story, well, all Jaa's film lack story to begin with, but Ong Bak 2 story sucked. I'd rather they go back to their root and not try to add any deep story into it. Especially one that isn't even deep. Just basic, you stole my goods i'll kick your ass. Will do. With that said, hope Ong Bak 3 will be great! And for his HK movie with Donnie, if that's true, I look forward to that as well. Last edited by Blu-Generation; 10-08-2009 at 07:22 PM. |

I think that Hong Kong film with Yen might just be speculation unless the Thai studio that owns Jaa's ass is doing it. Tony's under contract for ten years with the studio that did the first Ong Bak and that contract was signed back in 2002, so it's only been 7 years.

![]() ![]() All right, I just checked wikipedia and it's listed for a January 21, 2010 theatrical release in Thailand. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ong_Bak_3 |

That's Tom-Yum-Goong aka The Protector. In some countries, it's marketed as a sequel to Ong Bak.

I wish they'd make the rest of the movie watchable. Would be nice to have a good platform for the action. Same criticism I have for most martial arts films, really.

+1 -- The studio's sometimes don't know when to stop!

Thanks, yeah that is definitely the one I have watched. It had some decent fight/action scenes but the movie itself... well maybe I just didn't get it also but I was expecting better.
