Post Best Die Hard movie villain?

Since there seems to be a slew of new threads going on over the last few weeks, I decided to create one of my own. This time, it concerns the villains of all 4 Die Hard movies. And I'd like to ask this: Out of all 4 Die Hard movies, which was the best villain?

My money's on Alan Rickman's Hans Gruber, hands down!! And Maggie Q in Live Free or Die Hard is a very close second!

It is really hard to beat Alan Rickman at anything ... he is the voice of god after all

Really great character and performance in my opinion.

Pretty easy one this. Alan Rickman as Hans is one of the iconic bad asses on film.

I loved Alan Rickmans acting but I preffered the Colonel Stuart character cause he had no time for BS. Weakest villians are the ones in 4 for sure. Come on a bloody computer hacker with a gun is making the FBI wet their pants.

Almost Everything in the world is hooked to a computer. That movie portrayed the a real fear that someone could hack into systems and cripple lets say banks the power grid, phone systems. lets say someone hacks into a nuclear power plant and shuts down the cooling system would you wet your pants then?

Not possible, can't be done unless you're physically in the control room. Even so, there's triple redundancy through other systems to ensure there's no radiation exposure to the atmosphere.

Just watched Die Hard last night actually! Great movie, and great villian. Hans Gruber is the best of the series, as far as I'm concerned. The scenes where we first get to know Gruber, in his discussions with Takagi about men's fashions and model building and the benefits of a classical education before murdering him, are just fantastic. Great performance by Rickman, but that's par for the course.

A piece of technology containing a CPU does not automatically make it "hackable". It needs to be connected to the internet first. Think about it this for one moment studios have 2K or 4K scans of movies sitting in servers. Yes they are connected to a computer BUT are they connected to the internet? No. And you can't doing anything just through "hax" that hollywood likes to make you believe to make it easier to write mediocre scripts.

I suggest you read this article:
