What Is the Best Disater Type Film Of Alltime?? - Blu-ray Forum

On the wake of 2012 I wanted to do a thread about the disaster movies. Now this is a tough one. I have some criteria. I didnt list to many older movies. Pretty much from the 70's and up. Also there seemed to be alot of films that had similar plost so i just listed the ones that I think are more popular and would garner more votes. Just vote form the movies on the list and if u feel your movie didnt make the cut just list. lease dont ask where a certain movie is. I didnt list mini series either or documentary's. Anyway some of these films are world majot disaters and some are city only disaters or specific area disasters but they still qualify cause its a disater in some kind of way. My thoughts:

Best: War of the Worlds/Armageddon (Voted: Armageddon)

Fav: War of the Worlds, Armageddon, & Poseidon 2006

My bad on the title misspell of disaster!! lol Thoughts? Got Em!!

Poseidon 2006? Have you seen the original? It's 10 times better! You dont like old flicks much do you?

I havn't seen the original and I have heard its better. I do like 2006 version though. Lots of fun! If its an old film that I grew up on then no prob. Its hard to go back and watch them knew though. I try though. lol Got Em!!

Out of the ones you listed I had to vote Earthquake as the best.

Personal fav not listed would be - When The Wind Blows or any of the Airport films.

Geez i don't know. Lots of good titles there. I'm going to nominate 2012. Even though it hasn't come out yet.

Of the ones that I have seen imma have to go with Titanic as the best film even though it's disaster may not be as spectacular as some of the others. Disaster-wise though I think that at the top of the list i'd have to go with ID4, The Day After Tomorrow, and Dante's Peak, though I love a number of other movies on that list.
