Question HELP! (EMERGENCY) XBR2 vs A3000

ha ha....this sounds lame but this is an hdtv emergency. i will have a sony 60xbr2 delivered to my door within days. but i just reviewed the specs for the 60a3000 thats arriving in august and it offers hdmi 1.3 and 120hz frame rate. something the XBR2 doesnt offer. but whats nice about the XBR2 is the DRC 2.5 vs. the DRC 1.0 which is found in the A3000 which upconverts 480i signals...so viewing sd tv on the XBR2 is supposed to be better. my future wife is a tv watcher so im keeping her in mind here. do i cancel my order on the XBR2 and go for the A3000 or take it? will 120hz really matter? (ill be playing my blu-rays and dvds on my PS3 via HDMI) and how significant is 1.3????

(im buying the XBR2 for 2800 (thats including a 5 yr. warranty)
(the a3000 is $3000)

any insight will be awesome. thanks...

brian

120Hz matters if you want native signals to be judder free. This will affect 1080p24 BD movies and 1080i30 concert or doco footage.

HDMI 1.3 matters if you plan on buying those HD videocams that can do xvColor. It'll give you a wider color depth (not deeper/more bits).

I don't know about the DRC but if you want DRC2.5, then you have to get the new XBR5 series. Price difference is US$2000. Read the press release here.

The A Series

The XBR5 series.
