Has anyone bought this? Wondered how it looked and sounded. I also would like to know if the disc is locked to region A, or if it is region free. Any information would be a help.

Brazilian distributor California Filmes aparently is the only one in whole the world who released the latest Dario Argento film, GIALLO, in blu-ray format.

I bought the disc and it have AR 1.78:1 and PCM 2.0. I can't say if this is a Region A locked disc.

California Filmes is a small distributor who normally releases movies from smaller international studios, independent films or films that the main american distrbutors are not interested in releasing. So far, they also released in blu-ray:

As soon as possible. In the meantime, I'd just get a look at other titles:

Does any other internet site sell this disc? Someone from the Dario Argento dark dreams forum tried to order from these people, and they requested fax copies of the front AND back of his credit card. That has FRAUD/THEFT written all over surely? You'd think perhaps viewing a copy of a recent credit card statement would suffice. Being a world bd exclusive, it's surprising that copies are not being profited on via ebay. I badly want this film on bd but also need to know if it will play on a region B PS3.

Dunno if it's region locked... but internet stores asking for faxes of the credit cards is not unusual. DVD Empire (http://www.dvdempire.com) asked me to do the same thing at my first purchase there and there was no problem whatsoever.

I buy from DVD World in a regular basis. I'm can't vouch for them but I can say that I never had any problems with them.

Hmmm, thanks for posting on this. I shall consider ordering from them but to be honest, giving people copies of the front and back of a credit card does not sound very safe to me. I wish that they accepted paypal or that these bds would appear on ebay instead, would make things much easier.

Does anyone know if Lasse Hallstrom's CHOCOLATE is avaiable anywhere? I know it is here in Brazil but didn't find it here at bluray.com
