I dont mind the idea per se......but theres so many wars and other interesting eras that they're skipping if they jump all the way to WW2. And I agree, lets see AC2 before anyone starts talking about 3

Agreed the first one was annoying in many ways, but luckily they've removed most of the annoying parts for the sequel, because the stealth combat with the freaky hand-knife and the massive dives from the sky etc were really fun. Leonardo di Vinci being your best friend sounds a little silly though. I've preordered it, so I've put my eggs in its basket already.

I concur with what everyone else is saying. Wait to see how ACII does before thinking about ACIII (let alone 35!). I enjoyed the first one and am anticipating the second to be far superior. I just hope that this doesn't turn into another franchise that constantly cranks out games that are of poor quality. I hope ACII is awesome, and that they will make a third.

Interesting that would actually be quite fun quite a jump in time though?

^^ This ^^

The graphics were phenomenal, the game mechanics were top rate, even the story was fascinating...but the endless repetition of the same quests over and over made this game maddening. I desperately wanted to like it but ended up despising it.

If they can take a page from Uncharted and make a storyline varied enough to follow, they might have a winner.

I've pre-ordered the Black Ltd Edition from play.com for ACII

Had the first game since launch and finished it at the weekend. The Repetetive nature had me putting it down for long periods of time. I really liked thes story but there's only so many things you can do over and over again before you get narked.

A WWII setting though, I imagine guns in the game would be most annoying..

number 2 is shaping up to look pretty awesome.... number 3 should be set in like 19th century London round Jack the Ripper's time that would be awesome. IF Assassin Creed 3 be in WW2 will it be Desomnds Nana or summat? BIG IF

Will be the end of me purchasing the franchise if they do WWII.

Seriously, it's over. Let it go.

Everyone is so sick of WWII.

There's like a BAZILLION historical time frames far more interesting.

Maybe go Nordic Viking even... but not WWII. Ever.

Yeah I love it, and just started playing it again but having the same type of kills via counter and assassinating someone can only be fun for so long if they'd incorporated like 200+ different ways those kills happened it would last so much longer as opposed to maybe 60 ways(that may be over estimating) in the first one. I just unlocked throwing knives and I've already seen every type of kill and I'm only to the 4th city .... Hopefully they have added hundreds of ways to do kills otherwise its staying power will diminish like the first.
