thats a good price
im hoping come xmas time they have some bundles available so i can sell my current 80gb ps3

Maybe, but at least the consumer is getting some options.
Personally I have a 60 GB and I haven't had any problems with hard drive space. Although I don't have any movies or very many songs on the hard drive.

Eh, I bought and installed a 500 gig hard drive on my PS3 for 80$. I don't think this is a very good deal at all, it needs a game pack-in or something.

Yep... the smart consumer would buy the 120gb PS3 and then upgrade the drive to 500gb.. based on what you're getting for the 250gb ps3, it's the more cost effective option

they should just make a 500gb ps3 and be done with it.

Im pretty sure they did this for profit and to combat the 250 gigabyte 360 modern warfare2 bundle, which is $400.

No matter what you think of it, its a good move. im sure the average consumer knows nothing about upgrading any hard drive and seeing a 250 gigabyte PS3 on the shelf will sway them to buy for only an extra $50. more is better in their eyes. just look at all the ridiculous 100 disc DVD packs they make.

Good to see Sony releasing a 250GB version of the Slim PS3. More choices for the consumers is always a welcomed plus.

I don't get why SCEA is so reluctant to do game bundles. SCEE is bundling the crap out of their 250Gig PS3, so much so that it seems silly for Europeans/PALians to buy anything but the 250GB PS3.

This is a great deal for the 95% of consumers out there who would have no idea how to buy a Hard Drive and then install it in their PS3. Plus i'm sure that it helps Sony make some money off the system because a 250GB hard drive doesn't cost much more to make than a 120GB
