Cage claims in a lawsuit filed Friday that Samuel J. Levin and his firm placed the actor in a precarious financial situation that has resulted in catastrophic losses.

The lawsuit claims Levin gave Cage bad advice, failed to tell him about his shaky finances and collected exorbitant fees.

The lawsuit states Cage has sold numerous assets in recent months because of his finances.

A phone message left for Levin was not immediately returned.

Cage won an Academy Award for his role in "Leaving Las Vegas" and has made millions starring in action flicks such as "Con Air" and the "National Treasure" films.

It simply amazes me that people who make the kind of money they do....are in financial ruin (or claim to be). Mind boggling!

This part indicates to me that Cage was essentially letting this guy run his finances for him. How else could he claim he didn't know what kind of shape his finances were in? The concept that you would hire someone to run your finances free of your involvement completely blows my mind.

Cage needs to be quiet about this. He made the wrong investment move, so its his fault all the way. Still he can still continue to generate money with no problems.

I think he should just be thankful to what he has compared to those who lost everything in this economic situation.

He bought our friends families castle in germany then sold it like a month later

. The lawyer who brokered the deal wound up buying it lol. From all I heard about that deal it seemed like things weren't great.
