PS3 Slim on eBay for Cheap - Blu-ray Forum

i just found one for $199, since it's on eBay... it doesn't belong in the hot deals forum. I'm not sure whether it's the actual console or not... so I just ordered one and contacted the seller. If it's legit... I would jump on it. I'll update this if it's the actual console.

Its best to check their feedback and see what type of seller the person is...for sure if tries to scam you Paypal will most likely have you covered...hope all goes well in this transaction...Great deal...

This seller is also selling the Elite 360 for the same price...seems a little suspiscious to be so cheap

If you end up getting it leave details here if all went well.

But you never know, maybe they had some gaming convention or something like that, and they are lightly used. It could happen

Gaming Convention=Someone's bedroom
lightly used=poor kid only had it a week till nicked.

I've been on eBay for 10 years and I would never buy from this guy.

No description.
Condition of item new/used?

Usually stuff like this is a hacked account. The extra 100 bucks for a new store bought unit is worth the price for the peace of mind it buys you.

Totally a scam, look through his history he buys and sells cards for kids games. He just happened to come across 20+ PS3 slims? 10 available, 9 have been sold, so 9 people have been scammed. And FYI Paypal doesn't always protect you. If there's no money in the receivers Paypal account there's nothing to refund to you.

Opened a dispute. Decided not worth the hassle. Did it while he has all the money in the account.

I wouldn't say buying and selling cards to be reason to think it's a scam. I used to sell Magic cards and Yu Gi Cards just because you can make quite a bit of money doing it. the fact that he has so many PS3's on the other hand has to make you wonder how be obtained. But there are also several possibilites for it.

1) Hey may have got lucky and found some store that was going out of business and just decided to buy up the entire stock for cheap and could turn around and make a huge profit.

2) He owns a like small local Video Game/Comic/Movie/ etc... store and is being forced to close down and his just trying to move all of his crap quickly.

3) He works for a liquidation company and is selling off assets.

4) and possibly the more accurate he either works at like a best buy or gamestop or something and is slipping them out the back door and saying they never arrived. Or he is straight up knocking over a store.

I just skimmed through his feedback percentage and read the positive feedback lol. I would rather pay $300 than trust this guy. Thanks for making us aware of this.

How he has 98% is beyond me? I don't like how the negative response doesn't affect the percentage.
