Default KRM600 owners - any published settings out there yet?

KRP600 owners...

Are there published settings out there for anything other than Pure mode? I'd like to fine tune some of the other settings...particularly Sports : ) I want the torch effect when I'm watching baseball and football...but the default mode seems to bleed out detail on lighter uniforms.

If you find any other reference settings out there, let us know. I plan to just reset Sport mode after break-in and then tweak it myself. I have yet to see any other reference setting other than Pure mode.

A professional calibration with the ISF Day/Night settings enabled using controlcal would obviously yield the best results from these panels.

Getting the 500m Tuesday. I'll have mine calibrated after I break it in 150 hours. Give me a week or 2...someone remind me...and I'll give you some settings.

Ask him for 500M blu ray settings. Or if he knows of an online place to get them.

I'll remind you!

I just got mine tonight, so after I get off work on the 29th, I'll be able to test it out. I actually might not right away though. I'll probably let the set cool down first. It's putting off some serious heat.

Does it always put out heat like that? Mine's going in the bedroom...might make a nice space heater for the cold winters here. I know my living room gets somewhat warm with all the equipment I have in there.

I think I read that the screen can get upwards of 100 degrees. I'm sure that's with certain settings and long usage though. It gets cold here too! 60 below windchill last year! The heat is more than welcome.

I have some that I can post tomorrow for "Pure" mode if you want. I will see what he says.

I paid $3800 for the 600M, stand, 3yr extended warranty and inhouse delivery from them. I got a free BD and HDMI with it also The inhouse delivery is worth it. The 600Ms have a high rate of cracked panels.

I know this is old news but I just realized only 500 units of the KRP-600 were made. Many of those probably died due to cracked panels. So there aren't many of us who are enjoying this screen!

Quote:
Pioneer will make 2500 units of the 50″ models (KRP-500A and KRP-500M) and just 500 of the 60″ models (KRP-600A, KRP-600M)
Glad I jumped on mine when I did.

Yep...and of those how many had cracked screens during shipment? Sounded like a significant number. Best display I've ever owned and rare too!

Good to know I have one of these beautiful sets. You cant really appreciate the pq until you go to someone elses place and see their crappy set. Makes me want to come home and hug my tv.
