Default What are some of your favorite Martial Arts Films?

Recently I've been in the mood for some Jackie Chan movies and turns out he did some action dramas in his homeland. I have some of the recent Benny Chan stuff with him (New Police Story, Rob-B-Hood) and turns Chan has a huge filmography but I'm not sure what are the good martial arts films and the crappy ones. I'm not even sure if Ong Bak is any good, I saw a bad dubbing on Spike TV or saw some because I couldn't get through how crappy the dubbing was.

The Police Story movies are my favorite MA flicks. Police Story 3 is the best but I'll always have fond memories of First Strike. It was the first martial arts movie I ever saw.

Tai Chi Master and The 36th Chamber of Shaolin are two more good ones.

Stay away from Twin Dragons, then. They've showed that one on TV a couple times, and the dubbing is beyond laughably bad. Even the character's voices were shoddy.

New Police Story is alright. But it's the weakest of the five.

Fist of Legend is good but the action is so sped up it looks too unrealistic, just my opinion.

best martial arts movie with a fantastic story is Five Deadly Venoms.

It transcends just being a martial arts movie due to it's multi dimensional plot and flawed characters that operate in a gray area, not just simple black and white.
