Default When will there be affordable bluray recorders?

Hello everybody, new to blu-ray I guess. I recently picked up the $129.99 Curtis Mathes blu-ray player from my local target.

I'm one of those "hold out" people who usually dont get a system until there are budget units out, I don't think I got my first real dvd player until 2003. (Recorder in 04)

I record alot of stuff off of tv, mainly because im cheap so my dvd recorder will still probably be used alot despite owning a bluray player. The cheapest bluray recorders I could find on the market were $2000 on up, and as I said im not really someone who likes to pay more than $150 for a unit (I consider $200+ high range) and that pretty much puts a $2000 bluray recorder out of the question.

I have a very large dvd collection... probably several thousand, although at least 70-80% of that is probably anime. The main question I pose is how long before affordable bluray recorders are out?

-Btw for those who says use a DVR, a DVR is not permanent storage, the hard drives crash and I don't trust them... Plus I like to keep my recordings forever.
