Is it possible to copy older ps1/2 games to your hard drive?

That's the reason I loved my original PS2 with the network attachment and HD slot for my HD. I loved HD LOADER!

Oh and of course I only used it for backup of my existing PS2 games...

But to answer your question, if you were able to, you would not be able to run it. At least not with the PS3 OS...possibly with Linux, but I am not sure though.

sorry I meant on the PS3. Can you play ps1 and ps2 games off its hard drive?

Maybe with Linux, but not on the PS3's software.

Wait! You can play PS1 games from the HDD. Ones you buy off the PSN Store. Also, it is possible to play PS2 games from the HDD if the games are coded for it. But you cant save any games from Disc to HDD via PS3. Sony can do it in an update, but I doubt it very much.
