AFAIK, WS movies never have English subs. There is a very likely chance there will be forced French subs when the Mandarin track is selected.

Wild Side is a small distributor, and they almost never offer optional English subtitles. This release is not an exception -- it is for the Gallic markets only.

This said, Wild Side have been one of the most prolific distributors in France in regard to Asian cinema. They have brought a number of unique titles to the market (on DVD) that are still not available on any of the big English-friendly markets - US/Canada, UK, Australia.

Next year, for example, Wild Side will bring 30 classic erotic/porn Japanese films (L’age d’Or du roman porno) on SDVD. Hopefully, some of them would appear on BD as well:

The first film in the series is up for preorder on Amazon. Released by vivendi entertainment, which would mean that it is Dragon Dynasty.

i've got it
a really nice bookshell-packaging with in his middle a 26page's mini book about the trilogy in french of course.
All the movies are in 1080 24p, 2:35 for the image, and for the audio Cantonese+madarin+french in DTS 2.0 and forced french subtitle with the chinese audio, and region B ( but not tested )
Regarding the image, Wildside has done an tremendous job despite the fact that some few blur images due to the quality of the celestial master remain.
The image is sharp, the colors is shining, the definition is very good, compared to the dvd, there is a large gap.
About the sound, the dts2.0 is good but not as good as the image.
And wildside will launch in the end of the year in bluray the OneSwordman trilogy also

Correct - there are only French subs. I had a chance to look at this release last before CES, and liked it quite a bit. If you are fluent in French, this is certainly a solid package worth owning.

Wondering if anyone could post screen caps from this French release and the US release for comparison (since the US release is 1080i).

My brother got it and despite the interlacing the image quality is quite good. The dvd is already rather excellent in PQ, but the distance shots are what stand out the most between the dvd and the blu-ray. Also, the interlacing does not seem to affect the movement on the video nearly as much as it does with the GODZILLA (1954) blu-ray.
