I ran a search for concert and found several "so and so BD concert" threads and concert wish lists, but no actual thread on concerts you have attended!! I'm a huge fan of live music and over the past...6 or 7 years have seen as many concerts/shows as I can afford! here goes!!

Beastie Boys: GREAT SHOW! My first concert ever!! What a way to start, they are incredible performers, not a dull moment. I was happy to see them perform some of their instrumental stuff only as well. A great mix of old/new songs, I certainly hope MCA fully recovers from cancer, that has to be their #1 priority. After that, I hope they can get this show back on the road!

Metric: A small, lesser known band hailing from Eastern Canada. They have some ROCKIN tunes! I've seen them 3 times now, highly suggest if you like rock music.

Wintersleep: These guys are pretty darn good. My gf listens to them, I've seen them perform twice. Hard to describe their music, give 'em a try.

Billy Talent: I REALLY enjoyed their first album, so when Billy Talent II came out and a tour shortly thereafter I bought my ticket and away I went! They put on a highly energetic show. They rock pretty hard and I'm excited to see them again in March 2010.

Metallica: Arguably the best show I have seen to date. They played a lot of old stuff. I LOST IT when they started playing "One." You could feel the energy in the air, the fans were really great, I haven't felt so charged up for a show. I definitely lost my voice during that concert, screaming and shouting like a fool.

Queens of the Stone Age: This is my favorite band and they did not disappoint. This had by far the most memorable ending, the bass player's guitar crapped out, the guitar tech couldn't fix it, to cover up Josh Homme dove into the drum kit and the show ended. One band member looked CHOKED and stood still and silent for a full minute or two before he left the stage. The best song they played was No One Knows, the version they played was super long and super awesome!! On a related note, I can't wait for "Them Crooked Vultures" to release their album next month!

Eddie Vedder: In 08' EV played a solo tour. I lucked out and scored tickets from a friend. He played a good mix of songs from Into the Wild, his solo stuff and even a few Pearl Jam songs. It was an intimate show, played in The Centre for Performing Arts in Vancouver. He shared a lot of cool stories, and conversed with the crowd throughout the show. One of my favorite shows by far.

Pearl Jam: Let me rescind on my comment about Metallica. THIS was the best show I have been to! Pearl Jam is one of my favorite bands and they put on a great show. Eddie Vedder discussed why the band has been so proactive with protests, raising awareness, etc. He told the crowd a part of it is because of Terry Fox. The crowd went WILD because there is a school here named after Terry Fox. Eddie Vedder went on to say, this next song is for Terry. Again it felt like a more personal experience because of the interaction, discussion and story-telling. I highly suggest PJ.

Foo Fighters: I'm not a huge fan, but my gf loves them. I bought tickets for her bday, we went and it was a good show. Certainly a must-see if you're a fan.

NIN: What a crazy show!! They had a cool screen in front of them? Behind them? It displayed all kinds of crazy images while they played. Like the Foo Fighters show, I'm not a huge fan but glad I saw them.

Blue Man Group: Almost a cookie cutter performance as their blu ray (saw them during that tour). A very fun show.

Eminem plus G-Unit: The opening act was well worth the show! Saw all of G-Unit perform. 50 Cent played after the smaller acts and he was an outstanding performer. Eminem came out and played some great stuff. This was my first and only outdoor concert, taking place in Texas (2004?) Had a great time with my bro and in-laws.

Snoop Dogg feat Ice Cube: Ice Cube blew Snoop out of the water!! Ice Cube worked the crowd, played lots of great hits and had a better show overall. Snoop was disinterested in interacting with the crowd. His effort consisted of "How y'all doin out there?"

I think I'm missing a show or two in there somewhere. I'd love to hear about fellow blu-ray.com experiences.
