Review: 4/5 PQ, 4/5 AQ Video - Solid, nice grain structure. It was a bit soft. Basing my comparison on the screenshots of the US version, I feel that the French Blu-ray has more detail and much less DNR than the US version. I think the French version is superior to the US version, but I will try to look more closely at the two when I can. Audio - Audio was clear for the most part. Some dialogue was a little tough to make out and [Show spoiler] did not had the umpf I thought it would. Other than those small gripes the audio was fine.Note that there is Forced French subs during one scene where some characters speak Italian, but it is not too hard to understand what they are saying, even if you do not speak French. Could an owner of the French release please check the running time of the feature film?
My US disc has a running time of 121:01 min. This German site states a running time of only 120:15 min. for the French blu-ray. I'm considering to buy the French disc, but I am a bit confused by the different run times... Thanks ![]() EDIT: Forget about it. I just took a look into my US disc, and now I'm sure, the difference is due to additional studio logos at the beginning and the end of the movie on the US release... ![]() Also, on the Warner release there aren't any subs for some of the Italian dialogues at all, so you weren't supposed to understand these part of the dialogue in the first place (that is unless you speak Italian ![]() [Show spoiler] ), that comes with English subtitles on the US blu-ray. I can live with that. Especially since the PQ of the French blu-ray is way better than on the US blu-ray.

I didn't watch the complete French disc yet, but I'm sure it's uncut. The difference in running time (see my comments above) is indeed due to very long studio clips on the US disc. I don't see why a French release should be cut anyway, since the French tend to have a very liberal rating system (the French disc comes with a 16 years rating). Someone else, who watched the disc, couldn't spot any cuts either. So, I'll just say it: Yes, I'm sure, the disc is the uncut DC.

I also made a comparison to show the slight differences in the framing here: http://forum.cinefacts.de/200207-tru...ml#post7120641 (but as of yesterday there seems to be a problem with the image hoster right now - I cannot see my pics anymore ...) But please note that my shots (in case you can see them) were taken at different levels (Warner shots are (accidently) at TV levels, French shots are at PC levels). I didn't want to redo the Warner shots, as I only wanted to show the slight differences in the framing. Quote:

If you're referring to the Dutch Filmworks release (Free Record Shop page) I don't have it but it seems to be a barebones release with no extra content. Quote:
