Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has officially announced two 1993 action movies for release on Blu-ray on January 12, 2010: 'Cliffhanger' and 'Last Action Hero', starring two big leading men of the genre at the time – Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger, respectively. Both BDs will feature Sony's movieIQ BD-Live application to access real-time information on the cast, music, trivia and more while watching the movie.

Why wasn't Last Action Hero mentioned in the title eh? Not a good film but it has one of best Arnold one liners. "You want to be a farmer? Well's here's a 100 acres!"

I think we got all the good Arnold stuff out already and the good stuff not out I already own like Running Man. Though I would like True Lies and they could do wonders with Conan hopefully a Patton like transfer, then I'd probably buy it.

I am in for Cliffhanger as long as the PQ/AQ a good and the price is right, otherwise I will stick with my DVD copy.

The workprint's all over the internet so BD should have been the ideal time for a full restoration with all the violence restored but I don't suppose it will happen. Anyway its a more than welcome release especially after the mess up with the sound on the UK release

It's about time they released Cliffhanger. The UK Blu-ray's been out for a while and it aired on HDNet Movies years ago.

The Superbit DVD is pretty good, not great though. I don't think it is a stretch to hope for better from the BD.
