Having Vista prior to installing Windows 7, I had windows mail. Upon the 7 install, that took away windows mail. Now I know I can be blind at times...but where on Microsofts website can you download email and which email do you download?

My computer is over a year and and it took a good 1.5hrs for the upgrade. The only 'what I thought was a snag' in the whole thing...there is a part of the ugrade where the computer needs to turn itself off and the disc to be taken out......well, once that is done and the upgrade continues...it seems to 'hang' for like 7-8 minutes without seemingly doing anything. I was patient...sat and watched it and the upgrade soon continued.
Its all done though and no problems. I went and downloaded Windows Live Mail (since I lost Windows Mail) and the computer automatically imported any emails I had in my inbox..drafts..and contacts over to the new email. My printer did not initially work but once the printer was turned on, the newest drivers automatically kicked in and that now works. No other issues so far. I have not played with it tons but I do notice that programs load up quicker (which is nice) and for the first time, my computer will actually go into sleep mode at the designated time I have set. Vista would never put the computer into sleep mode but that seems to work here. Beyond that..just playing... |
