Default Subwoofer Cables?

Im looking for 2 good quality subwoofer cables around 8-15 feet. Now I have always heard all speaker wire is the same but when I connected my dayton audio speaker cables I heard and felt at least a 20-30% difference. any recomendations would be greatly apreciated including input on if sub cables are all equal or not.

I use a subwoofer cable from Monoprice. Works perfect, but I think you want something expensive? Subwoofer Cable

I use the Monoprice Sub Cable that Bue Titan suggested. It has done a great job so far...and my neighbors can attest to that

Expensive? Im just wondering if there are differences in sub cables like I heard with my speaker wires. I have a audio quest cable it is around 20ft long and seems kind of thin.

Ill have to check out monoprice. Yes my M4 is made by Colt. Personally I like the M249 light machine gun a lot more. Its better for a long fire fight. well thanks guys.

there is no such thing as a subwoofer cable. the best way to send a signal to your subwoofer is a XLR cable(balanced cable) or quad shelided rg6 coax.

you need some adapters also

Go to Monoprice, and get an RG6 sub cable. Mine is 35 foot, and works great.

You are welcome . If I were to buy A sub today with A plate amp , That amp would never see any power to it !

Don't buy cheap made quad shielded RG6 to use for a subwoofer cable. Whatever brand cable you buy make sure you at least know if it is made from quality raw materials & of the proper cable design/application. There are good reasons to why you should use the proper cable design for whatever application & quality doesn't mean it has to cost a lot either.

Subwoofer Cables
In some ways, the subwoofer cable interconnect is the least demanding application in home theater. While HD video demands cables able to carry high-bandwidth signals, at tight impedance tolerances, the subwoofer cable has the relatively easy job of carrying a very low-frequency, very low-bandwidth signal. But a subwoofer cable has a critical job to do, and needs to do it well: keep out hum. Hum can come from ground loops (cable won't help you if that's the case, but see our isolation transformer below) or, often, from EMI (electro-magnetic interference). High-energy, low-frequency noise, like the 60-cycle hum from nearby power cords, fluorescent lights, and other miscellaneous sources, is the hardest type of interference to shield against, and the best defense here is a dense and highly-conductive braid shield. Our recommended subwoofer interconnect cables have not one, but two, dense braid shields, and in our testing we've found this to be the best shield configuration, outperforming conventional single-braid, braid-and-foil, and unbalanced twisted-pair cables when it comes to hum rejection.

You can just get a digital coaxial cable and run it. That's what I use - an 8 ft. Monster THX digital coaxial cable I got from Radio Shack for $8. Works great.

long as you use one with a shield to protect against interference it will be okay.

i use this one,its kind of pricey at 30 dollars for 15ft but the quality is Nice
Acoustic Research Performance Series

http://www.araccessories.com/aracces...ODUCT_ID=AP052

* Gold plated connectors
* Six segment connector for snug fit
* Nitrogen injected PE foam dielectrics
* Two layers of shielding
* Twisted pair noise drain construction

the connector is great,you won't have to worry about it slipping off because when i tried taking it off before the thing felt glued on!
