I prefer the Soul Calibur series. I have Tekken 6 but haven't really played it much.

Street Fighter IV is pretty good. Love Soul Calibur IV, and wish it had trophies.

I don't really have any fighting games for the PS3 yet..so i'm eager to see poll results here

i love tekken..but the tekken 6 thread is saying that it doesn't live up to the hype

I think my favorite fighter on PS3 so far is BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger. It feels fresh and unique every time I play it, and some of the characters and moves are just ridiculously cool.

Beyond that, I have MKII, SSFIIHD, MvC2, SFIV, Tekken 5, and Tekken 6 (which I do enjoy quite a bit).

I've been tempted to pick up Virtua Fighter, but it was never one of my favorites.

Question: There was a character in one of the fighting games on PS2 who was a cop (Japanese or Chinese, I believe), and would use a drunken boxing style where he'd swig from a flask while fighting. I can't remember who this is... any help?

So far I've only really played the one I have which is Street Fighter IV and it was quite enjoyable.

Sounds like Lei from the tekken series/ He's Chinese if I remember correctly.

Also, BlazBlue was friggin amazing. So happy I picked up 2 of the LEs. From what I hear, Continuum Shift is gonna be even better.

I have Virtua Fighter 5, but I think Street Fighter 4 is the definitive fighting game for the PS3, due to its more comfortable controls.

I have to go with SFIV. I am a Soul Calibur fan, but in my honnest oppinion, SFIV has me hooked more than Uncharted 2

Street Fighter has me hooked enough that I will buy Super if they don't release the extra stuff as a download pack.

Law is the "Bruce Lee" type fighter guy in a jumpsuit. Lei is the drunken cop. I remember playing Tekken Tag with Lei and seeing handcuffs hanging on the side of his pants and thinking wtf? but yeah, Tekken Tag was awesome.

Capcom has confirmed that SSFIV will be a stand-alone disc, "hoping" it will be priced less than normal retail. With all the system changes and new chars, they keep saying it's more than DLC. Anyways, I can't wait to try out Juri!

As much as I like street fighter.. blazblue is better

I thought I had read somewhere that Super is supposed to only be like $30 or $40 bucks.

I know. I rented the game and I can honestly say that the characters (most of them) were un ballanced

I hadn't heard about Continuum Shift, but I looked it up and it sounds cool.

Quite honestly, I agree with you and Ice and many others--BlazBlue is the best fighter on PS3 right now. SFIV is fun, but I'd wager many of the votes for it are from ppl who haven't played BB yet.

I play that game so much, my mom called the other day to ask me why my 3 y/o son kept telling her, "Hey booby lady, you smell like alcohol!" (Which, if you've played the campaign mode in BlazBlue, you might recognize.)
