Is what happened with TV going to happen with movies?

as we all know ... when reality shows started showing on TV they were very profitable even with a small audience because they cost very little to make (small production value, dont need name actors) ... as a result we saw a huge rise in reality TV ... this stopped lots of good shows from being made and cancelled others in favor of a small budget reality show.

it was really bad at one point, now it sort of evened out and there is sort of a balance .... decent shows are still made but we can only imagine what fantastic ideas were passed over for a "low risk" reality TV show ...

anyway .... i saw paranormal activity a few weeks ago and the fourth kind yesterday ..... i know these arent reality movies :P ... but they are low budget, they dont need name actors, and they have a high profit .....

is anyone else worried that were going to start seeing a lot more of these movies and see studios passing up more creative and original movie ideas?

dont get me wrong ... i enjoyed watching both those films, but its just nice once in a while .. i dont want to see these everywhere and i hope thats not going to be the case ....
