Almost all of them will be region-free and playable on U.S. Blu-ray machines since they are all from Sony. That has been Sony's policy almost since the beginning of the format.

Hi Clark,

Yeah-I always add the "locked" info anyway, at the off chance that someone orders the handful that are locked. I have two region-free capable players, but I'd hate for someone to get stuck with coasters

P.S. Love Superman!

I know that site is probably accurate, but can anyone confirm Easy Rider and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon are region free?

I am definitely not Superman. I wear glasses of course and am just a mild-mannered reporter.

Both of those catalog titles are region-free and identical to the U.S. versions other than the fat BD cases. In fact Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon can not be bought in the U.S. outside of that ridiculous box set right now. Titles of interest for Americans might be Terminator 3, which has a lossless soundtrack compared to the domestic Warner edition with lossy sound and a poor video bitrate. Bone Collector is a movie that likely will never see a U.S. release.

Hey Magnox-if you're in the US, they can ship to you. Shipping is not bad, usually better than several other UK retailers. Amazon UK has some crazy TV Set sale, as well, but your player needs to be able to play PAL/Region 2 SD content. Enjoy!

Hey Clark-thanks, had no idea about the better bitrate on UK T3. I have Bone Collector on HD DVD; maybe they'll use the same print for BD, as an additional $13.99 ish title to release.

Other than T3, are any of the titles in the sale better than their US equivalents? Also, are there any exclusives (other than The Bone Collecter) in the sale?

Amazon jacked up the prices on all of these movies before starting the sale just like in the U.S. What a joke.

Vertical Limit has a superior AVC encode to the MPEG2 encode found on the U.S. edition. Almost Famous, Erin Brockovich, and Shrooms have not been released in the U.S. yet.

Good deal really, if you don't own most of them already or arn't interested.

I would like to order some, but I have to put blu-ray on hold for a while.
