United Kingdom Star Trek available tomorrow Friday 13th

So I was in the local rental store to rent a few BDs and I see Star Trek on the shelf behind the counter. I enquired to its availability to buy. The girl said it will be available on Friday to buy yet i see on amazon.co.uk its not out until 16th. Hopefully she was telling the truth and I will be watching this tomorrow night.

Got my Play.com steelbook this morning, so here's a few real world photos:

Front: http://i37.tinypic.com/xni81w.jpg
Spine: http://i37.tinypic.com/24piici.jpg
Back: http://i33.tinypic.com/2cg0e4n.jpg
Inside: http://i37.tinypic.com/xpbj8o.jpg

Even though the two discs on the right overlap, the bottom one is elevated so they don't actually touch. There is a paper sheet with the specs attached to the back with glue, but it comes of easily.

I noticed that most UK steelbooks have a silver/white look to them.

Received it yesterday and watched it last night.

I enjoyed it more the second time around.

It was a hard sell the first time, because it came on the back of the original series and the original movies being released on Blu Ray, and at the end of the day, Shatner, Nimoy etc, are Star Trek. I wasn't keen on the idea of their timeline being wiped out, but the way I look on it now is that it's actually an alternate time line, and the original time line is still there, still continuing. It would have to be I suppose because otherwise you have the age old paradox. How can Spock Prime come back in time because he would no longer exist in the altered timeline, and Nero would be a very different person in the altered timeline - it's something that the movie doesn't really address in any way.

Only real criticism now, I think, is that there is a little bit too much lens flare which they obviously thought looked very cool at the time, but it is a little bit distracting in places.

Watched it last nite too. Looked amazing on BD. Regarding the light flair there is actually an extra on the subject on disc 2.

Damn, looking nice. I have literally been to 6 different Best Buys (no exaggeration) in the last couple of days to see if any of them put out any of the 11/17 titles early. No dice

I know I know! It's pretty hard to know what to go for, though I wanted the Blu of Star Trek as I'm a big fan and wanted the best package available. And as my brother put it, it adds to the cause of our family getting a HD TV haha. Yeah I'm from Devon.
