the pq/aq on both are top notch....Pinoc. never looked so good, the problem people have with the movie, if any, is the OAR of the movie which is completely stupid. I would go with Pinoc. because once it goes back in the vault, u wont see it for another 10 years or so..lol

If you didn't like the story to Cars then why buy it just for the PQ/AQ? Pinocchio is a great classic animated film from Disney. The restoration on the picture and audio is great. You should check out the review here.

Tough choice for me since I like both. If I had to pick one, I would go with Pinocchio.

If you want an older animated title than Pinocchio is fantastic. Great songs, story, characters, etc.

Pinocchio. Not only will it go out of print before Cars will, but it's also a better movie.

Cars is the worst Pixar movie in my opinion, and Pinocchio is a classic. I would go for Pinocchio. (not that cars is terrible, so if you like it i would go with Cars because the PQ is ridic)

Pinocchio. Especially if you didn't like Cars in the first place. But overall Pinocchio is a better movie anyway.

I love them both, but there really isn't any competition between classic Walt Disney Feature Animation at their best, and any other studio.

Pinocchio all the way!

Good choice. It's a classic that will stand the test of time.

Even though I love most of the Pixar-films, I didn't even see 'Cars' yet.
But I watched 'Pinocchio' a lot on VHS when I was little, and it's a great film.
It's a whole different thing from something like 'Cars', even though objects come alive.
Now I think of it, it's more like a sadder and darker version of 'Toy Story' I'd say.
But it's indeed a timeless classic (both the story and this specific film) with great animation, audio and music.
(Which I speak of in general, cause I do not have the BD.)
It's also a bit grim at times, kind of dark and insane, but also funny at times.
Great film for all ages though.
I don't think you'll regret it, it's probably one of the top ones of those older Disney-films too.
Along with 'Jungle Book' and 'Aristocats' and... you know, all those great ones from before the '90s.

I have tried to watch Cars on cable TV at least 3 times and every time I have turned it off after about 10 minutes. I just don't get it and I cannot warm up to a bunch of talking cars. I really like Pinnocchio but it might seem a bit dated four some of today's younger collectors.

Personally, I love Cars. A lot of love went into that film- the extras go into some detail. I really appreciate the film, plus it's able to entertain both myself and my daughter. Pinnochio is a classic film, and it looks great on blu-ray, but I almost didn't purchase it. In the end I did for my kid, and she loves it. However the music and story-telling methods don't hold my interest much. I really don't like musicals or music in movies- I feel it kills the pacing of the story.

I realize you already made a choice but if it were me I'd choose Cars.
