Harry Potter BD Live not working? - Blu-ray Forum

Picked up Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince today

but l can't get the BD Live function to work.

Internet is connected and logged in, but the disc just seems to sit in the loading mode.

Does anyone have any ideas about this?

It's not meant to be released untill tommorow, so maybe that is the reason why (i'm also unable to connect).

Australian release. Which was officially due out tomorrow.

BD-Live servers I believe don't even start till the movie is released so if you get it early your out of luck until whenever the movie is released and so in this case tomorrow(doesn't know what time it is in Australia right now).

There severs in aus tend to be up several days early, probably to compensate for the fact that in 99.99% of cases films are released early.

you wont get any bd live content on any releases until the official release date and best to wait a few days after it because i remember when ironman was released the servers died with the amount of people trying to connect.

Discovered that we in Australia don't get access to the Deathly Hallows footage until the movie is released in US on 8/12

Why then do they advertise "Be the first to see exclusive footage from the deathly hallows" when in fact we won't be?

Just yet another reason why I hat BD live. Just put it on the bloody disc, and don't advertise something untill its available. gggrrrrrr.

took me like a hour of playing around registering with BD live and navigating around trying to find the footage before I realized it wasnt there....if i hadnt read your post I wouldnt even know why. Bastards...

my german disc set featured a sticker saying that bd live and the footage of deathly hallows will go online on December 8th.

got my copy of harry potter yesterday, i dont think the exclusive footage is availble til saturday on the worldwide screening thing

and, i tried to use my digital copy onto itunes, but it wouldnt work and only lets you do it on windows media player,
please help me if you can

whats the point of Puting a "Exclusive Sneak Peek into deathly hallows" on the BD if you have to wait 3 weeks for it to become avalible and then once it is, it never works anyway...not to mention...WB released the "Exclusive" BD only seek peek on youtube the second it was released to BD live...which btw is 1000 times easyier to get to work than BD live.

Yeah the BD Live is absolutley deadful on this disc - I still can't get into it, just keep getting a message saying it's not available - which means I can't access the Deathly Hallows footage and couldn't join the community screening on Sat.

The BD-Live stuff on sony and paramount discs works without any problems.

Overall though, If they can't guarantee these features will work for everybody then just stick them on the damn disc!

Must admit l'm new to BD Live, but if l'm going to have to go through all this crap everytime , then l won't bother with it. It seems like a lot of hard work with bugger all exclusive content, not worth wasting my time.
