Default How to fix a surface scratch on a rear projection screen

Ok I lightly scratched the surface of my sony rear projection tv. I was wondering has anyone fixed scratches before? Heard little bits of using cd/dvd scratch removal kit but anyone tried that? I don't wanna make it worse. Thanks in advance!

I did this once, but my scratch was barely noticeable (only seen up close). I managed to buff it out fairly well with lens cleaning paper and a little alcohol.

There are various plastic polishes available, but keep in mind that they are abrasive, and matching the exact screen surface luster can be highly challenging.

Sometimes the attempt to fix a light scratch that drives you crazy at this moment can easily turn into worse and greater surface damage.

I would suggest leaving it alone for a week and seeing if it doesn't bother you so much then. If you go for the fix, good luck!
