I'm a big fan of the oldschool really good Hood movies, and it would be awesome if they could get be on Blu-Ray!

Such as:

Boyz n the Hood
Menace II Society
Juice
Clockers

Unfortunately, you're probably an exception. The largest demographic with interest in "hood" films also does not have the disposable income to invest in a Blu-ray player, so it might be a while before studios see a reason to release them.

Personally, I'd love to have Friday on Blu.

I'd get Clockers for sure and possibly Do the Right Thing, but nothing else in the genre stands up to repeat viewing for me.
