'Maurice Richard: The Rocket' is hitting blu-ray in Canada on December 1st. I could definately see Alliance put out 'Bon Cop Bad Cop' some day, since it is somewhat popular.

Also, 'OSS 117: Rio ne répond plus' is coming on Dec. 22, 'Les Pieds dans le vide' on Dec. 8, both from TVA in Canada.

I was not impressed by Bon cop, bad cop found it a bit too cliché.

I would love the rocket as others have mentioned, it was the last DVD I bought.
Some that I would want but not mentioned by others
- La guerre des tuques (they just released the 25'th anniversary, why not a BD )
- Jésus de Montréal
- La florida
- Tommy Tricker and the Stamp Traveller
- La grande seduction

Also, Operation Beurre De Peanut would've been awesome to have on Blu-Ray

Hey all,
I think it's not likely to happen, I mean for old titles like you're talking about.
These films were not even meant for Hi-Def.
It's old kids movies and it costs a lot makin' Blu-Rays in Qc, so i don't think it would be profitable.
It's even impressive to have a special edition DVD for La guerre des tuques.

For more recent movies, big hits, yes maybe we'll see blu-ray someday. I hope !

It's been out of print for a while and the demand was quite high.

Default Another title...

Alliance will be releasing 5150, Rue des Ormes on Feb. 10th 2010. You can pre-order HERE. The horror film features Marc-André Grondin of 'C.R.A.Z.Y.'

France

If you enjoy quirky science fiction parodies along the lines of Red Dwarf, I highly recommend Dans Une Galaxie Près de Chez Vous 2. The Blu-ray also gives a copy of the first Galaxie film, both in 1080i. They look and sound great. If you haven't seen any of the series or movies and enjoy off-beat SF comedy, you're in for a treat.

My only complaint is that, while they kindly give English subtitles for the sequel DUG 2, they don't give French subtitles, which is common but misses the mark for who subtitle users are. What about French speakers who just want to see the subtitles in their own language, or foreign language learners of French who just need a little help to catch the dialog? Also, the first DUG film is given here more as a high-def bonus feature. They didn't bring over any of the bonus features from the nice 2-disc DVD set, not even the Eng subtitles! So, if you get into the sequel and are not a French speaker, you will need to get the DVD of the first movie for the translation.
