T2 skynet edition not working? - Blu-ray Forum

does anybody have a problem playing the said bluray in their Sony BDP-S350?
when i view either version of the film it usually freezes at 00:23 (just after the Studio Canal logo appears).....
do i need to update the firmware of my player?
how do i do the upgrade? is there a guide anywhere? link please...thanks!

If you have the player hooked up to your computer, that could be causing the problem. I've read something about Lionsgate discs not working while they're trying to gather info online... I dunno...

I remember this took about 2 minutes to load (same player). Do a firmware update by using the ethernet port on the back and selecting network update in the player menu.

Hello EXAR KHUN:

I've been down this road before !!

If you have the memory stick plugged in the back of the BDP-S350 try removing it and see if that helps OR like I did, have a bad batch of discs.

Yeah I know, it shouldn't have anything to do with playing the disc but it did with the new Stargate release. My guess is there could be a flaw in the way the disc is encoded.

works fine on my sony BDP-S550, takes a while to load up though. the true waiting game

and the memory stick is plugged in the back, mem stick is needed for Starship Troopers

It makes me mad that I need to ack an "error" message because I have no internet and it takes even longer to load. That is on S550 with memory or without.

I should say I have no internet connected to my BDP.

(It is a personal choice to limit my internet use because I work on computers all day.)

So T2 complains because it can't access SkyNet and causes additional delay with user interaction required just to complete loading. It is by far one of the slowest loading movies I have ever bought.
