Default TITANIC (1943) & The fate of the Cap Arcona

I just wanted to post this because I was curious if any of you had seen this film on TCM this month or were familiar with the fate of the German cruise ship Cap Arcona (the worst loss of life on a cruise ship even overshadowing the loss of life on the Titanic). Personally, I'm amazed that soooo many films have been made about the Titanic sinking but not one has been made about the Cap Arcona! BTW, the Cap Arcona was used for as the cruise liner depicted in the 1943 German version "Titanic." There is a 90 minute documentary film about the sinking of the Cap Arcona but I've never seen it & I wonder why films like this aren't shown on the History Channel or other similar channels (like National Geographic). Here is a web link if you are interested in learning more about the fate of the Cap Arcona: http://cap-arcona.com/

I just thought this was a VERY SAD story. Of course the fate of the original Director of the German "Titanic" was interesting to learn too.
