Per request from squidpuppet here is the poll u asked for! Where does Shawshank Redemption rank on your list of best movie of all time? Its simple! Also give thoughts on what u choosed and why! I'd say somewhere between 125 and 150. It's a good movie. I love Roger deakins, and i think his work gives the movie most of it's re-watchability.

depending on the day you ask me..its flips between this and The Godfather as my favorite film...today Shawshank is #2

I like the way you set up the poll, with an option for greatest, 2-5, top ten etc. Should give us a clean answer. My vote is in... 51-100.

Same it's somewhere way up there but definitely not the best movie ever, doubt it'd make my top 10 either.

Well I didn't vote for "don't like it" and it's not my collection, so that makes up for it. I just voted for not in top 100. But I agree that it is overhyped and overrated.
