Default Hangover & Inglorious Bastards out already in queens NY...

So today i went to a video game store that sometime has new Bluray movies out early and infact they did have the two movies but at the ridiculious price of $34.99. I spoke to the owner and actually told him he had not right to charge tax on top of that. Walked right out.

A guy I know who goes to NYU FILM paid $40+tax for The Dark Knight two weeks before release date. I passed, but some of the people I know got some through him, and paid to have them shipped here. $50. Idiots.

If it was an absolute must, I would pay upwards of 50 dollars for the hangover, but since its only 12 days away, it makes no difference

You do know that when a business charges you tax, that tax gets paid to the government right? It doesn't go into the merchant's pocket. Or were you just complaining that $34.99 is too high? I sincerely hope it's the latter.

Are you talking about Video Game Central in howard beach? Cause I'm one of the idiots who went there and picked up Inglourious Basterds

I normally dont buy movies from them but i was having an awful day and needed something to cheer me up so i figured id just pick it up.... Worked like a charm lol

Yes I am. I think that price was acceptable when they retailed for $29.99 but now that price have come down to 15.99-22.99 he should reconsider his price tag of $34.99. He's a rip off that's why i have never bought anything but TDK from him.

He doesn't have any right to sell them before release date. I'd hope this gets reported to the studios and they stop allowing him to sell their movies, since it doesn't sound like an isolated incident.

Of course...especially the tourists.

A lot of the smaller shops get them a few weeks early but they are nuts to be charging that much. The release is right around the corner..I think I can wait.
