I posted a thread about a news article relating to a Dexter fan killing his younger brother, and now that i've returned from lunch I do not see it anywhere... why was it deleted?

Only happy thoughts are allowed. I recommend posting pictures of actresses aged 18 to 49 that have appeared on Dexter. That should work.

As it stands, I'm goiung to go Wiki 'Dexter' to find out what the show is about, since your thread - and hence my question, was deleted.

It's about a serial killer, who essentially has a 'code' to only kill bad people. So he works for the police as a blood splatter analyst in order to come across criminals so he can kill them. There is alot more, but that is basically the plot.

This is an HBO show, right? Is it just me, or have most regular programming become so recycled, that writing really has gone off the wall to come up with viable ideas? The idea's intriguing, but Jeez-louise, it seems like people are sitting in rooms coming up with the most bizzaire, and violent ideas, just to get something 'new and different' to make it worth watching...

I pretty much forgo most TV these days and stick to Food Network, Top Chef on Bravo, or America's Test Kitchen on PBS.

As an aside - how is it possible the 'Actresses that look good' Threads persist in the TV discussion arena, allowing them to show up on the home page, when they too, should be in Off Topic?

Kind of a pet peeve, detrimental to the site IMO.

It's on Showtime, and it's based on a popular book series.

Just my opinon...99% of the people that post here are males and pictures of beautifull actresses have always been very popular for obvious reasons

. The Dexter thread had to do with the murder of a child...both threads are in the "gray area", but if I were running this site, I would want exposure for the "Actresses that look good" thread, and I would bury the thread in question in Off Topic. Business sense.

But it didn't even get put there, it just got trashed. And I still haven't heard from the Mod or Admin that is responsible for being so rude.

But Titan (with all due respect My Friend), if the assertion is that his thread should have been in Off Topic - "Business sense" is not a valid reason to allow a thread to linger where it should not. That smacks in the face of integrity and consistency of the site. Off Topic is Off Topic (and it would seem that this thread should be headed there as well

I kinda read the article but didn't really keep me interested because it's just another one of those stories to blame everything else other than the psycho person themselves. Did his little brother kill anyone in order for him to be killed? Because that's not Dexter.

The psycho himself blamed Dexter. It wasn't the authorities, parents, etc.
