Awesome. Definitely getting them. Although Confessions of Pain was somewhat of a forgettable film. I have it, and I've watched but I can't honestly remember anything about it. I'll still get it on blu though.

The Banquet is definitely one that'll benefit from the hi-def treatment. Looking forward to it. I'm glad that DDD is putting out these titles so fast. Love to have more options.

I'm with most of you. I'll definitely be getting The Banquet. Some how i missed Confession of Pain. A great cast and good directors, so I might give it a blind buy.

I just ordered The Banquet, even though I already own the limited edition DVD set. I popped the DVD in to see how it looked upscaled, and it actually looked quite good. The DVD had a nice transfer for SD DVD. However, this is a movie with so many detailed sets and costumes that I think it will benefit quite a bit from Blu-ray.

Also ordered Zhang Ziyi's new romantic comedy (Sophie's Revenge) while I was at it, although that was only on DVD.

Finally THE BANQUET on bluray! Just preordered it. While the DTS 24/96 soundstrack on the DVD release is fabulous, the picture is too soft and a lot of the fine detail is blurred as the result.

I hope they subtitle the extras , the dvd has a whole second disc of them but was not subtitled.
